Improvised Comedy - Performing [See here for Coaching and Training]

The Netherlands:

Peter arrived in The Netherlands in early 2001. Not long after, he hooked up with a group of people who became Problem Solved and eventually easylaughs. He is one of the most active members in the Amsterdam improv scene.

easylaughs (2005-). International Improv group. Weekly performances at Crea Muziekzaal in Amsterdam and corporate teambuilding, training and entertainment. Short- and long-form specialists. Shows in English and occasionally Dutch.

Meijer and More (2007-). Two-man improv group playing their own exciting long-short-form show, Dizzy. Returning for new run of shows in 2009-2010.

El Moustachios (2005-). The Netherlands premier pseudo-Spanish Improv group. Two time winners of Boom Chicago Improv Battle (2005), winners of 2 Green Improv Battles (2009), guest group at the 11th and 14th International Improvisation Theatre Festivals in Amsterdam (January 2006 and 2008), and are the All improv Champions 2009. Developed their own long-form, Paso Doble.

Problem Solved (2001-2006). Anglo-US-Dutch group. Bi-Monthly performances at Theater de Cameleon and Crea Muziekzaal in Amsterdam, as well as other performances including as a guests of Boom Chicago, corporate entertainment and at many open podiums including the prestigious Open Bak at De Engelenbak. Shows in English and occasionally Dutch.

CSI: Amsterdam (2005-2006). Exciting new show format presented by easylaughs for their 2005-2006 season.

Improv Club presented by House of Mangoes (2004-5).
Regular guest at shows in Comedy Café, Huis de Beurs, Groningen.

Blind Date (2002-4).
International cast who perform long-form improvisations with multimedia at Theater Bitterzoet (Formerly Theater Pompoen), Amsterdam. They also do corporate entertainment and training and were part of the entertainment at Xaviera Hollander 2002 Christmas shows. See also UK.

Off Your Head (2003).
Guest performer in weekly show at The Comedy Café, Amsterdam.

Boom Chicago (2003-).
As a member of Problem Solved and Blind Date (see above), and guest of Fijn Plan, performed as part of showcases at Boom Chicago in Amsterdam. Frequently requested to perform at their Improv Jam. Frequent participant in their Improv Battle: Twice winner as member of El Moustachios (see above).

UK:

Peter started performing in England with London TheatreSports in 1995. He was very active in the scene up until he left the city in 2000.

Edinburgh Fringe Festival 2003.

London TheatreSports (1995-2000). Regular performer in weekly Scriptease show, often as MC. Publicity Officer: 1998-2000; Committee Chairman: 1998-99; Artistic Director: 1999-2000. London TheatreSports’ speciality was 45-minute narratives. For LTS, I organised and performed in shows at the Brighton Fringe Festival and The Word festival, London.

Sprut

Sprout (1998-2000). Occasional guest performer at regular and corporate shows in London.

Naked Impro

(mid 1997). Run of shows in Finsbury Park.

Death By Improv

Third male performer in London-based all-female group.

Improzacs

Performing impro in London stand-up venues. Well, once at least.

Scarlet Pimpernels

Formed by myself for a one-off gig at a Leeds University Ball.
